How aging affects driving skills

Shifting Gear: A Presentation on Driving from the Registry of Motor Vehicles, 11 a.m. Friday. This presentation looks at how some aspects of aging can affect the ability to drive, and what should be thought about when someone considers quitting. The presentation takes place at the Tufts Administration Building, 167 Holland St., Teele Square.


Affordable-Internet program ends

Asian Tea Party: ACP will end in April, 2 p.m. Monday. The Affordable Connectivity Program, which gives monthly subsidies of up to $75 so low-income households can buy home Internet, ends in April because the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives won’t bring $7 billion in funding to a vote. Learn how it affects you at an event held in Cantonese, Mandarin and English – with tea. The meeting is at The Ralph & Jenny Senior Center, 9 New Washington St., Inner Belt. Pollinator plan group updates

Somerville Pollinator Action Plan Advisory Committee, 4 p.m. Monday. The Pollinator Action Plan Advisory Committee, created in response to the declining population of pollinators such as bees in New England, has its monthly meeting. Watchable by Zoom videoconferencing.


Benefits from Somernova

Somernova Community Benefits Agreement Summit, 7 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday. The Union Square Neighborhood Council seeks input from the community about what community benefits they would want to see from the rezoning and expansion at the Somernova business campus (a proposal paused until the spring). The summit is held at the Albert F. Argenziano School, 290 Washington St., Ward 2, Somerville.

Unpaved trails discussion

Somerville Commission for Persons With Disabilities, 7 p.m. Tuesday.The commission hears from Meg Bandarra about unpaved trails and discusses disability pride, training, finances and more. The meeting will be held at the Somerville City Hall Annex, 50 Evergreen Ave., Winter Hill. Watchable by Zoom videoconferencing.


Aldersey Street housing lottery

7-11 Aldersey St Lottery, 11 a.m. Thursday. The city holds a lottery for the income-restricted homeownership unit at 7-11 Aldersey St., Prospect Hill. Only those who submitted applications and were found eligible before the application deadline on Friday will be included in the lottery selection process. Watchable by Zoom videoconferencing.

Recreational pot shop pitched

Neighborhood Meeting: 17-23 Holland St., 6 p.m. Thursday. Councilor Lance Davis, the Green Soul Organics team and city staff host a meeting on the plan for an adult-use cannabis retail store at 23 Holland St., Davis Square, where the Johnny D’s restaurant and nightclub used to be. Preregistration for this virtual meeting is required.
