City manager goals and reviews

Peter Valentine home demolition
Historical Commission, 6 p.m. Thursday. The nonprofit developer Just A Start comes to propose taking down the three-story 1907 Cambridgeport property lived in by the outsider artist Peter Valentine until his death in 2022 and once known as Cosmic Moose & Grizzly Bear’s Ville. Improvements at Jerry’s Pond
Planning Board, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The life-sciences developer IQHQ brings its proposal for returning Jerry’s Pond – fenced in since the 1960s – as a North Cambridge public amenity with pedestrian paths, an ecological center, new trees, a floating wetland, boardwalks and dining areas with a grill and other improvements. Annual Holocaust remembrance

New Middle Eastern restaurant
Board of Zoning Appeal, 6 to 11:30 p.m. May 8. Naya, a rapidly expanding Middle Eastern restaurant chain – it’s also bringing its Lebanese influences in bowls, wraps and salads to Watertown and Boston’s Back Bay – seeks to open at 355 Main St., Kendall Square, in a former Clover location.
