The Krispy Krunchy Chicken in North Cambridge seeks to add hours.

More Bagelsaurus and Krunchy

License Commission, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday. People waiting in the line at Bagelsaurus will be happy to see it come before commissioners to expand to a 65-person capacity from 40 at 1796 Massachusetts Ave., Neighborhood 9. The Krispy Krunchy Chicken is also expanding at 336 Rindge Ave., North Cambridge, but in hours โ€“ asking to stay open until 2 a.m. all days from 11 p.m. and even open an hour earlier at 10 a.m. (Meanwhile, the McDonaldโ€™s at 186 Alewife Brook Parkway, Cambridge Highlands, seeks it make its 2 to 4 a.m. hours for delivery pickup only.) Pokeworks, after closing in Harvard Square recently to make room for a PopUp Bagels shop, comes to 60 First St., East Cambridge, and Love Art Sushi seeks to open nearby at 1 Canal Park. Cambridge Street and Mass. Ave.

Ordinance Committee, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. This committee run by vice mayor Marc McGovern reopens an Oct. 30 hearing about zoning petitions for Massachusetts Avenue (including up to 12 stories of residential uses along its length, and up to 18 stories of residential in Porter Square in exchange for increased open space requirements and minimum retail density) and Cambridge Street (including up to eight stories of residential uses along its length, and up to 10 stories in parts of Inman Square; up to 12 in the Webster Avenue and Windsor Street area; and up to 15 stories in the Lechmere area). Incentives for development

Housing and Finance committees, 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday. These committees โ€“ run by city councillors Burhan Azeem and Sumbul Siddiqui and councillor Patty Nolan, respectively โ€“ talk about implementing residential development enhancements such as tax incentives, public equity financing and reduced fees and requirements and what impact the changes would have on housing production and city finances. The committee meets at City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square. Televised and watchable by Zoom videoconferencing.

An election error postmortem

Election Commission, 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. A look at the Nov. 4 municipal election is on the agenda after unofficial results gave a win to a candidate that was removed several days later in favor of incumbent David Weinstein โ€“ resulting from an error known by staff when the preliminary results were announced yet not shared with the four-member Board of Election Commissioners. The stateโ€™s Elections Division said it would investigate informally.

A third six-story project asked

Mid-Cambridge Neighborhood Conservation District Commission, 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday. A plan to raze the two-story brick home at 406 Broadway for a six-story building could draw attention as being a couple of blocks from two other six-story projects at 60 Ellery St. and 84-86 Ellery St. proposed since passage of multifamily housing zoning passed Feb. 10 by the City Council.


Community benefits analysis

Human Services & Veterans Committee, 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 4. This committee run by vice mayor Marc McGovern and councillor Ayesha Wilson looks at the work of a Community Benefits Advisory Committee, mainly a report presented in May but likely taking into account a divisive process in East Cambridge that raised questions about whether benefits can be focused toward a single neighborhood or must be considered citywide. The committee meets at City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square. Televised and watchable by Zoom videoconferencing.

DEI layoffs draw a hearing

Government Operations, Rules & Claims Committee, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4. This committee run by vice mayor Marc McGovern responds to a Nov. 20 restructuring of the cityโ€™s Equity and Inclusion Department that cost seven people their jobs in an abrupt way that city councillors and community members called unprecedented, opaque, harmful to vital services, โ€œinhumaneโ€ and โ€œbrutal.โ€ The committee meets at City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square. Brattle Street bicycle lanes

Historical Commission, 6 p.m. Dec. 4. Among agenda items is a review of existing two-way bike lanes and related structures on Brattle Street from Mason Street to the Fresh Pond Parkway. Watchable by Zoom videoconferencing.
