Remaking 116 Norfolk housing

Planning Board, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The reconfiguration of the Cambridge Housing Authority’s 116 Norfolk St., The Port, into 62 studio apartments from its current 37 single-room-occupancy units gets review under Affordable Housing Overlay zoning. (We wrote about the proposal in April 2021, and the complications that preceded it of group living for formerly unhoused people.) There’s also a plan to build a two-family home at 286 Broadway, also in The Port, where until recently there had been The Lucky Jungle plant nursery and arts space and 286broadway community-focused store for art and more. Watchable by Zoom video conferencing.
