Updating tree protection laws

This committee run by city councillor Quinton Zondervan will look into the details of an order he filed over the summer with councillor Jivan Sobrinho-Wheeler to consider transferring primary traffic enforcement responsibilities from the police department to unarmed, trained personnel in the Traffic, Parking & Transportation Department, Public Works, Health and Human Services or “another suitable department.” Televised and watchable by Zoom video conferencing.

How to handle a municipal broadband study

Neighborhood & Long Term Planning, Public Facilities, Arts & Celebration Committee, 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday. This committee run by city councillor Patty Nolan will look at how to do a financial feasibility study for municipal broadband – a process long delayed by the city manager until his hand was forced by a council budget rebellion in June. Outdoor, in-person learning

School Committee Curriculum and Achievement Subcommittee, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Committee members will discuss in-person outdoor learning for the duration of the coronavirus crisis. Watchable by Zoom video conferencing.
