Police officers in schools
School Committee Special Policing Subcommittee, 6 p.m. Tuesday. This subcommittee reviews the relationship between Somerville Public Schools and police, including when officers should be in school buildings and whether the high school should have a student resource officer. Solarizing all the municipal buildings in Cambridge and switching to electric schoolbuses would do far more for the environment than bike lanes that cause more traffic backups.
