The Cambridge Housing Authority has once again attracted two of the largest banks in the country to invest in housing for very low income tenants in Cambridge. This time, though, one of the investors has admitted it is under investigation for deception in the same kind of transaction.

The Cambridge Housing Authority got most of the zoning relief it sought to modernize its Millers River development, but other risks remain for the 300-unit project for low-income elderly and younger disabled tenants, including higher-than-expected costs for a new community center.
