Sub Rosa Songwriting Retreat
$35. Last June, 15 songwriters spent a week living in cabins scattered on an island in Lake Winnipesaukee. They wrote, created and shared by sunlight, moonlight and firelight. This group reunites on stage at Club Passim to bring each other’s songs to life. Monumental Ritual Texts in Ancient Egyptian Pyramids
Free but register. Brown University’s Christelle Alvarez discusses text inscriptions at Saqqara, an important royal cemetery from Egypt’s Old Kingdom period. For nearly two centuries, the subterranean chambers beneath some of Saqqara’s pyramids were inscribed with hundreds of ritual texts carved in hieroglyphs.
