Gordon Baker-Bone brings “Drunk Black History” to Cambridge on Feb. 28.

As Black History Month draws to a close, Gordon Baker-Bone brings “Drunk Black History” to town and raises a glass to some hidden figures. In many ways, the premise is as you’d expect: a comedian, lubricated by enough alcohol to complicate the job, shares the story of a Black figure whose story you might not know. (Your author has done the show twice, and it is challenging.) The beautiful thing is, as the show has progressed, it’s moved by necessity into some fascinating deep cuts, while also making room to talk about folks who are changing the world as we speak. What results is an uplifting of history in front of audiences who will no doubt hunger to look into these important figures and their stories once their buzzes wear off. Get the most entertaining history lesson you’ve likely ever had – and have a drink in solidarity with the night’s presenters.

“Drunk Black History” with Gordon Baker-Bone at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at The Comedy Studio, 5 John F. Kennedy St., Harvard Square, Cambridge. $15 to $20.
