Want to get intimate this weekend with a bunch of people who really know how to use their instruments? The Cambridge Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players head across the river Friday for a post-Valentineโ€™s Day event thatโ€™s about as intimate as you can get with Bach, Haydn, Mozart and Puccini โ€“ and with soprano Kimberly Moller.

Called โ€œLove Is in the Aireโ€ the salon benefit is to celebrate the power of love as well as to support the orchestra, which has a mission of presenting free outreach concerts for audiences who might not otherwise hear live classical music, as well as reasonably priced concerts for the general public.

Cynthia Woods, music director for the chamber players and the wider, 80-plus-person orchestra, said selections Friday are to include the โ€œBrandenburg Concerto No. 1 in F majorโ€ by Johann Sebastian Bach; โ€œConcerto for Two Horns in E-flatโ€ by Joseph Haydn; and โ€œExsultate Jubilate,โ€ by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.ย Moller, the soprano taking on these pieces, is a recent graduate of Boston Universityโ€™s Master of Music program in Vocal Performance recentlyย praised by the Boston Musical Intelligencer for her โ€œbright, focused voiceโ€ and flawless execution.

โ€œLove Is in the Aireโ€ is at 8 p.m. Friday in the 40 Berkeley Living Room, 40 Berkeley St., Boston.

Seating is limited. Tickets are $25 online. There is a cash bar, and cocktail attire is suggested.
