Dear people of Cambridge: Kids write letters about hunger, homelessness and the Earth
Three students of Inbal Alon at the Graham & Parks School submitted letters for publication, all addressed “Dear people of Cambridge”:
I noticed people put trash everywhere. This is a problem because it is hurting the Earth. Also, it is bad for plants. For example, I saw trash on the ground. You could help by not putting trash on the ground.
Love, Ella
I am concerned because some people do not have enough money to buy healthy food. This is a problem because people might be hungry. One time I saw a person who is homeless who asked for food. You could help by packing bags and give people who are homeless food.
Best wishes, from Aadhya
Some people do not have enough money to buy healthy food. This is a problem because people need food to survive. You could help by giving people food or money. So put food or money in your car and when you are around you can give them to a person you meet or to a community fridge or food pantry.
Thank you, from Talia
