The East Cambridge Planning Team holds its annual elections for board of directors and president on April 10 via Zoom videoconferencing. Nominations take place March 27, also by Zoom.

Voting will be for three board member seats and for president. Board terms are three years. The president has a one-year term and is elected by the membership from the members of the board, including those newly elected.

Candidates may be nominated from attendees; they must either be present at the meeting or have previously indicated in writing to a board member that are interested in being nominated. Candidates must also be residents of East Cambridge and be voting members of the team.

To exercise voting privileges, a person must be a resident of East Cambridge and is required to attend – via Zoom – the nominations or voting proceedings. They also must have attended one of the two consecutive regular meetings held immediately before the meeting for which a vote is cast; and have attended a total of 11 meetings during the 12-month period before the meeting for which a vote is cast. New members (i.e., members who have never voted) must attend two consecutive meetings held immediately before the meeting for which a vote is to be cast before being eligible to vote.

The East Cambridge Planning Team has been active since 1965 as a neighborhood organization dedicated to the betterment of East Cambridge.
