Does this all-star billed show have any connection to the week of the MLB All-Star Game? Honestly, probably not. But like the Home Run Derby, its lineup feature some heavy hitters. Ordinarily, Laugh Giraffe is a weekly comedy showcase that Tricia Thomson and Maddie Kelly curate for Tuesday night audiences at Union Square Tavern. For this special edition, they’re making a rare move to Davis Square’s The Rockwell, where they’ll give a larger stage to 2015 Boston Comedy Festival winner Peter Martin, Danya Trommer (Don’t Tell Comedy), Sean Rosa (Mendoza Line Comedy) and El Kennedy. And if you’re up for some proverbial “extra innings,” stick around for the summer edition of Union Comedy’s Kerfuffle, featuring the “undefinable comedy” that’s become a trademark of Jackie Arko and Tess Varney’s long-running variety show. This month’s theme is “Smooth” and features the talents of Nate Lopez, Ben Scurria, Deby Xiadani and many more.
