Does this all-star billed show have any connection to the week of the MLB All-Star Game? Honestly, probably not. But like the Home Run Derby, its lineup feature some heavy hitters. Ordinarily, Laugh Giraffe is a weekly comedy showcase that Tricia Thomson and Maddie Kelly curate for Tuesday night audiences at Union Square Tavern. For this special edition, theyโ€™re making a rare move to Davis Squareโ€™s The Rockwell, where theyโ€™ll give a larger stage to 2015 Boston Comedy Festival winner Peter Martin, Danya Trommer (Donโ€™t Tell Comedy), Sean Rosa (Mendoza Line Comedy) and El Kennedy. And if youโ€™re up for some proverbial โ€œextra innings,โ€ stick around for the summer edition of Union Comedyโ€™s Kerfuffle, featuring the โ€œundefinable comedyโ€ thatโ€™s become a trademark of Jackie Arko and Tess Varneyโ€™s long-running variety show. This monthโ€™s theme is โ€œSmoothโ€ and features the talents of Nate Lopez, Ben Scurria, Deby Xiadani and many more.

Laugh Giraffe All-Stars, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday ($15) and The Kerfuffle, 9:30 p.m. Saturday ($20). The Rockwell, 255 Elm St., Davis Square, Somerville.
