A man was cut Sunday night after confronting some kids in the Riverside neighborhood, police said.

At approximately 10 p.m., several youth were seen jumping on cars on Hingham Street, resulting in damage. One driver confronted them and was stabbed and cut, receiving nonlife-threatening injuries to his arm, police said.

Police arrived and stopped several people, but the youth who were suspected of stabbing the driver had fled the area, reported Jeremy Warnick, director of communications and media relations for Cambridge police. Officers are continuing to investigate.
