Updates on Davis Square plan

Davis Square Commercial Area Plan, 6 p.m. Monday. Community members are invited to this community meeting to learn more about the updated commercial area plan for Davis Square. The presentation will go over changes from the 2020 draft and attendees will be able to provide feedback. This meeting is the first of a series of virtual and in-person engagement opportunities about changes to Davis Square. The meeting will be held at the Somerville Public Library West Branch, 40 College Ave., near Davis Square.

Pilot Task Force to elect chair

Payment In Lieu of Taxes Task Force meeting, 6 p.m. Tuesday. The group that helps decide what’s paid to the city by non-taxed property owners – such as Tufts University – reviews the law, the institutions it will work with (valued at more than $15 million) and votes to elect a chair. The meeting will be held at City Hall, 93 Highland Ave., Central Hill, in the Assessor’s Office meeting room.

College admissions information

Navigating College Admissions Successfully, 7 p.m. Wednesday. Ron Feuchs and Jackie Tepper, partners at Stand Out For College, host a virtual event for families approaching the college admissions process. Attendees will hear about topics such as the lingering effects of the pandemic on college admissions, college admission trends and the importance of community service. Students’ health survey trivia

Somerville Positive Forces student health survey trivia, 6 p.m. Thursday. Middle- and high school youth present the results of 2023’s Middle School Student Health Survey in a trivia format, followed by discussions in online breakout rooms. Topics include substance use, mental health, physical violence, physical health and sexual health. Watchable by Zoom videoconferencing.
