Benjamin Zander, conductor of transformation, prepares Friday’s once-in-a-lifetime symphony
The conductor, musical director and founder of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra is preparing for the final concert of the year, honoring a composer he’s returned to many times – and for which he’s been given a medal of honor. Friday will be “a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Benjamin Zander said.
Friends of CRLS presenting $75,000-plus in scholarships to seniors and grads
Friends of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School is preparing to present scholarships totaling $75,250 in 2022. Hundreds of donors and sponsors – individuals, families, organizations and businesses – have contributed to the 52 scholarships the organization is distributing to the school’s seniors and alumni in support of their higher education.
YWCA Cambridge names Ling as interim leader ahead of events for MLK Day and on reparations
The YWCA Cambridge is searching for a new executive director, the organization’s board of directors said this week. Cassandra Ling, who has served as board chair, will serve as interim executive director during the search. Her predecessor, Tania Del Rio, resigned last month to run for state Sen. Lydia Edwards’ former seat on the Boston City Council.
