Somerville Pollinator Action Plan Advisory Committee, 4 p.m. Monday. A group created in response to the declining population of pollinators such as bees in New England has its monthly meeting. Watchable by Zoom videoconferencing.
Design commission to meet
Urban Design Commission, 6 p.m. Tuesday. The commission meets to review proposals for developments at 382 McGrath Highway, Prospect Hill, and for 52 Elm St., Spring Hill, to see how property owner’s ideas will fit in with their neighborhoods. Somerville Commission for Persons With Disabilities, 7 p.m. Tuesday. The commission meets to discuss inclusive schoolyards, literacy opportunities, disability pride month and more. Hero square application
Veterans’ Commission on Monuments, Memorials and Dedications, noon Wednesday. The commission meets to discuss a hero square dedication application for Thomas Lehay at Medford and Pearl streets, Gilman Square, a Dilboy plaque at City Hall, an upcoming Memorial Day Parade and more. Q&A with marijuana retailer
Community outreach regarding a marijuana establishment, 6 p.m. Wednesday. A marijuana establishment is being proposed by Core Empowerment at 500 Medford St., Magoun Square, filling space left empty since 2023 by K-2 Beer & Wine – whose owners once wanted to buildings overhead apartments and considered opening its own adult-use pot shop, according to the Magoun Square account on Twitter.
