Police are investigating reports of gunshots around School and Pine streets in The Port neighborhood late Thursday, the first gunfire incident of 2022 after a year in which there were 14 of the sort – most not causing injury to people. Like this incident, nine from last year took place in The Port.
Ten shell casings were found by officers in a preliminary investigation of gunshots reported at 11:53 p.m., police said. A vehicle was heard leaving the area after the gunshots. There have been no arrests.
