Price: $4.50

Mortadella Head is one of several pizza spots in Davis Square, but itโ€™s the only one thatโ€™s become an Internet sensation: The storeโ€™s social media accounts have more than 350,000 followers, which, for reference, is more than four times the population of Somerville. I decided it was high time to see what all the fuss was about, especially since we havenโ€™t had a slice of cheese pizza since the first Snack at Joeโ€™s in Harvard Square. Mortadella Headโ€™s single is actually a quarter of a pie, so you really get two slices for one, and they were two totally delicious slices. Saucy, cheesy, with a crust that was chewy yet crisp enough to hold its shape (no flop in sight) and a nice sprinkling of parmesan and basil. The sauce was particularly good, with a brightness and a freshness that made this one of my favorite slices in Camberville.
